Accepting these terms
These terms govern the use of Scholarsity. By giving consent at signup and using the platform, the parent or guardian, on behalf of the student, agrees to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.
Who can use Scholarsity
Scholarsity is for students following the CBSE and ICSE curricula. Because every student is under 18, an account may only be created with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. During the current phase, signup is by invitation only.
Your account
Please keep the account details accurate and the password private. The parent or guardian is responsible for activity on the student's account. Tell us promptly if you think the account has been used without permission.
Acceptable use
- Use Scholarsity only for learning, and respectfully.
- Do not try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
- Do not copy, resell, or redistribute our lessons, quizzes, or content.
- Do not misuse the AI Doubt Solver or submit harmful or inappropriate content.
Learning content and the AI Doubt Solver
Our lessons, quizzes, and the AI Doubt Solver help a student understand and apply their curriculum. They are a study aid, not a replacement for school, a teacher, or a qualified professional. The AI can sometimes be wrong, so important answers should be checked.
Intellectual property
The Scholarsity name, logo, lessons, quizzes, and software belong to SpringBoard Technologies. We grant the student a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use them for their own learning while the account is active. All other rights are reserved.
Fees and payments
During the current phase, Scholarsity is offered free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, the prices, billing, and refund terms will be shown clearly before you choose to pay, and a separate Refund Policy will apply.
Changes to the service
We are always improving Scholarsity, so features may be added, changed, or removed. If a change materially reduces what an active account can do, we will give reasonable notice.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Scholarsity accurate and available, but we provide it on an "as is" basis. We do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not guarantee any particular academic result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of Scholarsity. This clause will be finalised by our lawyer to fit Indian law.
Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used in a way that could harm other users or the platform. A parent or guardian may also close the account at any time and ask us to delete the student's data.
Resolving disputes
If a concern arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. The detailed dispute-resolution wording, including any arbitration, will be set by our lawyer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [city to be confirmed] will have jurisdiction. The exact wording will be set by our lawyer.
Grievance redressal
For any complaint about the service or about a student's data, contact our Grievance Officer, whose details are on our Contact page. We will acknowledge and respond within the time required by law.
